The FIFTH International Workshop on the Application of UML/MDA to Software Systems (UMSS 2008)
Today's software products and their underpinning process models are becoming more complex and costly, making the realization of these products an increasingly difficult task. The OMG’s Unified Modeling Language (UML) and, more recently Model Driven Architecture (MDA), play important roles in the development and implementation of heterogeneous software systems. Furthermore, the ability to reason about the properties of a system built through an integrated system life-cycle is of great concern to modern developers. The main goal of this Workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry.

First International Workshop of Service-Oriented Architecture and Application (SOAA'08)
SOAA'08 is an international workshop held within The 2008 Software Engineering Research and Practice. SOAA '08 is a forum that brings together researchers and practitioners interested in different aspects of service oriented architectures and it's applications in the software industry. The workshop seeks to act as a conduit for the presentation of novel approaches used in software architectures (from the hardware layer to the higher software layers) as well as their application to research and industry.
