IKE'10 Special Session: Global Contextual Processing and Foundations, Issues and Management Implementation
Call for Papers
Dear Colleagues,
My colleagues and I are attempting to organize a special session at WorldComp10 on the emerging field of global contextual processing. A new book on the subject will be published next summer by CRC press, Global Contextual Processing, Vert, Iyengar, Phoha.
Global contextual processing research argues that the major components of current IT systems and approaches should be redesigned to consider contextual information in processing and thus provide much more powerful IT systems. Such systems could operate at a global scale more effectively than now currently exists. Research could support the development of the next generation of information systems and the web. This is a new integrated area derived from semantic web research, security modelling, data mining, advance data repository development, logic and hyper distibution and dissemination of information. New models have been developed in all of these areas but need further research and development. The emerging topic is particularly well suited to graduate student dissertation research because of the wide range of new subject matter that still requires research.
I invite you to submit a paper on the topic in any of the following areas or new ones that you feel you you’d like to write about. Papers may be research, surveys, experiments, field studies or opinion. Topics for papers, posters and overview survey papers may come from but are not limited to all areas of Computer Science, Law, Information Systems, Knowledge Management, Security, Data Mining, Data Fusion, Operations Research, Management and Collaborative Systems. Some candidate areas are :
- MIS models of contextual computation
- Contextual networks operation, routing, modeling, design
